I am having trouble setting my Motion Password™. What am I doing wrong?

Try watching the Motion Password™ video demonstration at www.caveo.com/demos/

There are three aspects to setting the Motion Password™ that are confusing to some people:

1
The definition of a Motion Password™ Position
The Motion Password™ consists of three angular positions in space. Think of them as "tilting" the laptop. So your first position might be tilting the left side up, the second might be tilting the laptop toward you, and the third might be holding it flat

2
How long to hold the laptop in position after pressing the "Set Position" button
After clicking on the Set Position button, there will be a three second countdown to give you time to get the laptop into the position. The laptop must be resting still in your intended Motion Password™ Position when the countdown finishes. If the laptop is either moving or is in another position at the instant the countdown finishes, your intended Position will not be captured.

3
Why some positions are valid and others are not

Some laptop positions are not valid Motion Password™ positions because they are too close to another Motion Password™ position. As a rule, positions 1 and 2 must be at least 30 degrees removed from each other. Likewise for positions 2 and 3.
