faqs

Why do I hear sounds while the computer is sitting on my desk?

You will hear clicks at startup, as described in a separate question in these faqs.

You may also occasionally hear the alert signal if your computer is in a "noisy" environment, with significant building vibration, and you will probably hear it when you bump your desk.

If you hear the sound for Motion Password™ Position 1, it is because you've left the computer sitting at an angle that is within the range of detection for that position. (There is a small "window" around the setting.) If you want to set your computer down at that angle routinely, change the Motion Password™ position.
